SSSB is Sweden's largest student housing company, they have approx. 8,000 student housing options and were founded by the same organization behind Akademisk kvart, SSCO, in 1959. It costs nothing to register for the SSSB queue and you can queue from the age of 18. Within 90 days from registration you need to be able to prove that you are a member of one of SSCO's membership groups.

The Stockholm Housing Agency (Bostadsförmedlingen) the municipal housing queue in Stockholm. Anyone who is aged 18 and over with a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) or a coordination number (samordningsnummer) can register with the housing queue. The fee for the housing queue is SEK 200 per year. The average queuing time to get a student apartment was around 4,5 years in 2022. If you are between 18 and 25 years old you are also able to apply for youth housing at this agency.
